Youth Leadership & Life Skills
Lead by a certified facilitator, Equine Assisted Learning empowers youth to make honest non-verbal connections with the most amazing teacher, the horse. Working in small groups, these specifically designed horse experiences connect deeply to youth, developing leadership skills, communication skills, life skills, and resiliency.
Each of the ten sessions targets a specific skill and is arranged in a building block format to meet the objective of the overall program. Each session includes specific objective-based exercises designed to focus on a particular skill and produce consistent and predictable outcomes.
Horsemanship Skills
Now it’s time to learn deeply about these amazing animals. Hands-on, learn how to groom them, prepare their equipment, feed them, and care for them. Horsemanship skills expands your understanding of horses and adds to your overall equestrian experience.
Riding Skills
Every day, participants enjoy a group (maximum 3) riding lesson. Communicating from above, riders will learn the basics of position, balance, steering, walk and trot.
